Classically trained and with a passion for the orchestra, Los Angeles based composer Austin Hammonds brings rich orchestral colors to both the silver screen and the concert hall. Formerly a composer at Hans Zimmer’s Emmy winning composer collective Bleeding Fingers Music, Hammonds combines his intimate knowledge of the orchestra with his production experience to create a modern take on a classic sound.

 

        Hammonds works on a variety of scores and projects including film, TV series, video games and documentaries. BBC America's Eden: Untamed Planet is a stand out amongst his work. From his mysteriously beautiful theme to the intimate dramatic moments, the score showcases a clearly apparent love for the orchestra. The colorful orchestrations and textures sew together an awe-inspiring, narrative adventure for the episodic documentary narrated by Helena Bonham Carter. He has also written music for other notable work, including History Channel’s Emmy nominated documovie Fight The Power by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Xbox’s newest exclusive title Redfall from Bethesda and Arkane Studios. 

 

        Hammonds continues to work on projects that allow him to step into writing both his orchestral soundscapes as well as more non traditional scores. “The spirit of collaboration is perhaps the most rewarding thing about what we do.
